Must the CPU count be the same number from a backup server to a restore server when using LiteSpeed?
The CPU count may be different between a backup server and restore server. CPU count is only considered for licensing purposes.
The version of the LiteSpeed application must be compatible between a backup server and restore server. LiteSpeed is backwards compatible. The backup may be completed on an older, or lower version of LiteSpeed and the restore completed on a newer, or higher version of LiteSpeed.
To determine the product version, either check Help | About or run the following query in SQL Server's Query Analyzer:
