If a contact is used as the journal recipient, are the journaled messages counted by MessageStats? -
Description
Journaling is configured with a contact as the journal recipient. When viewing the Mail Contacts reports, there is no data for the contact used as the journal recipient.

Cause
When a contact is used as a journal recipient, the journaled messages are forwarded to the contact from the System Mailbox. MessageStats, by design, filters out all mail from System Mailboxes. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Change the journaling configuration so that the journal recipient is a mailbox and then configure the mailbox to forward to the contact. MessageStats will then be able to report on the traffic to the journal mailbox.

Enhancement request TF00294134 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of MessageStats
