How to start Foglight as a Windows service (4218530)

After installing the Foglight Management Server (FMS) choosing not to install it as a service, there is a requirement to install it as a service.

Is it possible to enable Foglight as a Service after installation already has been done?

Creating a service can be done at any time after the installation:

1. Open command window (CMD) with the "Run as administrator" option where applicable and change directory to [FMS_HOME]\bin
2. Run the command fms.exe -i or fms.exe --install-service to install Foglight as a Windows service; for example:

   C:\Quest\Foglight\bin>fms.exe -i
   INFO  [native] Foglight (Foglight) service installed
