Maintenance Plans Clean Up Task allows deletion of any file type - by extension (4218378)

Clean Up task in SSIS Maintenance Plans allows you specify a type of deleted files: backup files or maintenance plan text reports but when directed to delete files based on the extension, the files are deleted regardless the file type.

WORKAROUND:
Do not use the Maintenance Plan Cleanup task, use the Remove files older than parameter in the LiteSpeed Backup tasks, which will only delete backup files, determined by their creation date.

STATUS: Enhancement Request submitted: Any Files optionon Clean Up task that will allow to delete any file (not only backup or text reports).
