Where is the password file stored for Spotlight on Oracle? -
Description
When creating a connection profile, a database password needs to be entered. If selecting other options such as to monitor the Operating System, the password's username needs to be entered as well.

Resolution
The password file should be stored in the same location as that of the profile eg by default : C:\Documents and Settings\<LoginID>\Application Data\Quest Software\Shared\Profiles. To determine the location from within Spotlight, go View | Options | Spotlight Console. Then on the first General tab, the location is stated under File Locations.
The file name is in the format of S-1-5-21-636461855-2365528612-2953867313-12657.scp
The username and password are encrypted
