Does the product seize FSMO roles if necessary?

During the post-recovery procedure the product seizes the FSMO roles held by DCs that were not recovered in the process. The logic for which remaining DCs get the seized FSMO roles is currently handled by NTDSUTIL. Therefore, you can safely skip restoring DCs that hold FSMO roles without having an adverse affect on the recovery forest.
The process of re-assigning FSMO roles (if necessary) is currently an automatic process and does not allow interaction by the user. When a DC known to be holding a FSMO role when the backup were taken fails to restore, or is skipped, then that FSMO role is seized to another DC during the Finalize stage of the recovery.
