Foglight: Backup and Restore of user bookmarks (4217256)

Note: User settings are stored in the user module but they are persistent in the server and only loaded the first time that user is logged in and saved on log out.

To Export:

Ensure the user to be backed up has logged out of Foglight for at least 5 minutes as the user settings needs to be persisted to the database if the bookmark was just created (*nix users please adjust path accordingly)

1. <FMS home>\bin\fglcmd -usr foglight -pwd <foglight passsword> -cmd util:uiexport -m user:<user_to_be_backed_up> -f <path>\<user>_module.zip
   Note:  Use "Foglight" user to export the module.

To Import:

Ensure the user to be backed up has logged out of Foglight (*nix users please adjust path accordingly)

1. Restart FMS
2. Ensure that the user of the user module does not login.
3. Log in directly to the Foglight JMX console via web browser
   <FMS URL>:<port>/jmx-console
   - service=WCFPersistenceManager
        -void importModulePackage()
             -<path>\<module file>
