Changes made in Licensing for 2020 R1:
Existing users that have multiple keys, and would like to consolidate into one newly offered "Generic" key, will need to have the profile changed on one of their existing keys to become the new "Generic" key. Input the proper associated quantities for each edition, and then disable the remaining keys. (Note: Generic license keys will not work with previous releases.)
By default, the VM interval check is set to 0 hours which means unlimited.
The activation/node field should never be changed. It should always be left as 0.
LAN Daemon is an on-site local license server that is given to air-gapped networks. At this time only one Korean customer is using this option and should never be proactively offered to a customer. If they have an issue where they have 0 internet access this issue should be raised to Neil B. for approval. If a customer asks about this out of curiosity you can mention "This option is for future use".
LTC (Long Term Checkout): The maximum was 14 days when we had Flexera, but now we will set it to 7 days. Do not exceed 7 days, if an exception is required please reach out to Anthony or Yusuf for approval for either 10 or 14 days; exceptions will not be approved beyond 14 days. Once the customer checks out the license there will be no way for us to release it even if we delete the record on the key. Do not delete the record as it will allow the users to use an additional license while the other has been checked out.
Domain Licenses: This option will restrict users by their network domains. For example, the company erwin might want to allow only users with the domain of "erwin.com". Multiple domains can be accommodated with separation by commas.
This option will collect customer information such as the Computer Name, IP Address, OS..etc.
