You receive the following error when trying to run a subscription - Unexpected Error encountered while generating the subscription. A detailed error message can be found in the application event log of the Web Reports Server. (Error code: 0x80)
A report that is being sent by the subscription has a colon ':' in the report name.
or
You are trying to Send the Subscription to a File Location that you do not have permssions to or it is not a valid UNC path.
1. Rename the report in question and remove the colon ':' from its name.
2. Modify the subscription and select Reports.
3. Make sure the report listed here no longer has a colon ':' in its name.
4. Rerun the subscription, it should now complete sucessfully.
OR
If you are Sending the Subscription to a File Location (on the Action Screen) use the full UNC path Example: \\Servername\C$\FileLocation and make sure you have permissions to write to that directory
If you are sending the Subscription to a Sharepoint Site use the Web Site option and use the Internal URL on the Action Screen.
