Export Notes Directory log files shows the following warning:
WARNING: [128-152-7-00000000] Generating SMTP address 'username@domainname' for 'username'.
This object needed a new primary SMTP address because it had a duplicate primary SMTP address.
This can be caused by a few possibilities, please review and check to see which one applies:
- A Directory Export has previously been run, a containing Notes user has been deleted and recreated. Subsequent runs of the Directory Exporter will see the newly created (same name) object as a new object and add it a second time to the database. Due that the object already is in the database with the correct SMTP address, the new object from the subsequent Directory Export run will have a number appended to the SMTP address like 'user2@domain.com'. This is the behavior of Migrsator for Notes to Exchange as the recreated object has a new Notes ID and is a new object. Please modify the current collections accordingly so that only the desired user is selected.
- There are multiple objects in the Notes environment with the same name. This can happen in Notes where you can have two groups with the same name. Migrator for Notes to Exchange processes each group in order and attempts to stamp an SMTP address in the database whether or not the Notes object has an Internet Address. So the end result is the first object with the same name is placed in the database correctly, but the second object (with the same name) will get the error noted above and have an appended number in the SMTP address like 'group2@domain.com'. This again is the known behavior of Migrator for Notes to Exchange. Please adjust any collections accordingly so that only the desired groups are selected.
- This can be caused by Notes server replication and conflict issues. This can be verified by checking the Notes Admin people section.
RESOLUTION 1
1-Remove and rectify Notes server replication and conflict issues
2- Perform a new Export Notes Directory process
RESOLUTION 2
Provide a unique Notes Internet Address to these objects
Note: There could be two person documents for the same user.
