Sending response: 554 Relay rejected for policy reasons (4212226)

You may see the following error when you are sending a message from Outlook to Notes:

Message Number [X] on Thread[Y] from Exchange  (XXX.XX.XXX.XX:381940 to Domino (XX.XX.XX.XY: 25): Sending response: 554 Relay rejected for policy reasons.

WORKAROUND

1- Go  to Global Domain document of the Domino server

2- Select Conversions tab

3- Find Alternate Internet domain aliases  field under SMTP Address Conversion

4- Correct the typo

5- Save and Close Global Domain document

• You  may need to force the replication and update the  router configuration
