Agent Connections Continue to Spawn with 6.4 Agent and 7.0 Server
Description

When a 6.4 agent is running against a 7.0 server, the agent will continue to spawn random high port connections to the server.
Example (netstat command can be run from agent system to confirm the issue - replace 'venombox' with the hostname of the KACE Systems Management Appliance):
Cause

This is anticipated behavior caused by an incompatibility with the Koneas libraries used in the 6.4 agent and the 7.0 server.
Resolution

KACE always recommends running agent versions that match the server (e.g. 7.0 agent and 7.0 server). In the case of a 6.4 agent running against a 7.0 server, it is important that the agent be upgraded to 7.0 as quickly as possible to avoid this particular issue. The 6.4 agent is designed to auto-upgrade to the latest version, and there are no known issues with the auto-upgrade process.
