Sometimes it is important be notified and react accordingly when Intrust tasks run abnormally long. The 'Resolution' section of this article gives an idea of how this can be achieved.
1. Open Intrust Manager and go to Configuration>Advanced>Notification Templates.
2. Add new Notification Template: Set text of the 'Subject' and text of the 'Message' fields. Presss 'Next'. Leave fields in the 'SQL Queries' window blank. Press Next to complete tempate creation.
3. Open Task containing the job that you would like to monitor (the monitored job).
4. Add new job to the Task. Type of the job should be 'Notification'. Choose Notification Template created in item 1. The job should be chained to the monitored job (it must follow the monitored job).
3. Open properties of the just created notification job and open 'Deadline' tab.
4. Enable 'Deadline' option.
5. In the 'Mark deadline from' section check 'Start of the following job' and select Monitored job from the list of jobs.
6. Set desired time range in the 'Run job after'
