DSA retrieves the list of policies from AD and verifies if object falls under any of its LDAP filters (purportedSearch). If object falls under multiple policies then highest priority is selected and applied based on msExchPolicyOrder attribute.
3. For an Exchange 2007 schema, Exchange 2000/2003 store selected under Exchange Options of QMM Sync properties, the DSA would execute the above search (not exact same base DN but similar) to enumerate policies and address lists, and will then follow the legacy Exchange 2003 logic as outlined in Solution 24845.
