You may need to set the Internet Address field as the TargetAddress field in NME. By default, when migrating to Office 365, NME sets the primary internet domain, in the users TargetAddress field.
This process describes how you can ensure that the TargetAddress field within NME is the same as the Internet Address field in Lotus Notes. One caveat is that any object without the internet address field (i.e. Group/Mail-In Database) will be pre-populated with the primary internet domain as defined in NME.
To implement this, please follow the steps below:
1) Copying the Shared Directories location and the Notes Server field information to a text file. Take a note of your Office365 settings as well.
2) Shutting down NME and running through the following solution to recreate the NME40DB
3) Make sure you export the collections, backup your global default settings and backup your NME40DB SQL Database
4) Re-Applying your settings – DO NOT Move onto Discover Notes Information.
5) Adding the following settings to your Global Default Settings;
[Exchange]
UseO365Domain=0
6) Now run through Find NABS, and within Find Domains Select all the Internet Domains you are going to migrate. This should cover all the internet addresses defined in the internet address field in the Notes person documents.
7) Export Notes Directory – This should now bring the directory contacts across correctly with the Internet Address field bring the Target Address field and the SMTP aliases being restricted to the internet address field domain.
