Description: When creating a backup job with explicit selections of regular sub-directories, sub jobs are automatically created for each of the selected directories.
Symptoms: Separate sub jobs are created for the explicitly selected sub-directories.
Detailed Explanation for the option:
1) If an entire volume is selected and "Backup subvolumes individually" is not selected, then 1 job will run.
2) If an entire volume is selected and "Backup subvolumes individually" is selected, then a job will run for each Qtree sub-volume.
3) If sub-directories are selected explicitly and "Backup subvolumes individually" is not selected, then a job will still run for each regular sub-directory.
4) If sub-directories are selected explicitly and "Backup subvolumes individually" is selected, then a job will still run for each regular sub-directory.
This is a limitation of dump on the filer - there is a difference between Qtree sub-volumes and regular sub-directories. Explicitly selecting regular sub-directories needs to result in the creation of individual backup requests, consequently resulting in seperate sub-jobs and savesets.
