When running a restore of a legacy backup the backup job hangs in a "waiting for media" state and does not progress.
A further information message in the logs is:
"The backup being restored was produced by a legacy version of the plugin - the version number is not recorded"
When performing a "right click" "media list" in the restore window, no information is displayed.
The contents of the "diagnose job" shows nothing listed at all for "Media".
This situation indicates a missing tape for the restore, the information from legacy plugin is incomplete and Netvault cannot report which tape it requires. The operator will have to manually locate the missing tape.
Explanation:
For some legacy backups, the Netvault cannot report the tapes required for the restore. It know that it needs tapes, but cannot locate them
