Description:
There are times when BakBone Customer Support will request the configuration of a tape library when troubleshooting a device problem. This procedure will send tape device configuration to the NetVault logs for BakBone’s analysis.
1. In the NetVault GUI, open Device Management screen.
2. Unload tapes from drives.
3. Perform 'Open Door' on library.
4. Perform 'Offline' on drives.
5. Wait 5 minutes.
6. Perform "Online' on drives.
7. Perform 'Door Closed' on library.
8. Generate a binary log, compress it and send it to support.
