Windows 'Removable Storage' often conflicts with NetVault Device Management. Quest recommended that it be disabled.
1. Click 'Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Services'. (On Windows XP - 'Start | Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance | Administrative Tools | Services')
2. Double click the service 'Removable Storage' to open the service properties.
3. If the service is running, stop the service by clicking 'Stop'.
4. Change the 'Startup Type' to 'Disabled'.
5. Click 'Apply' then 'OK'.
