Symptoms:
After Upgrading MAC OS to 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 Netvault GUI or Configurator will no longer start by simply clicking on its desktop icon. You get error message that X11 is not running
This is an issue with the X11 that comes with MAC OSX 10.5.4 and 10.5.5. There are currently only three known workarounds.
1. Start X11 manually before trying to click on NVGUI (some customers have reported this still does not work for them for whatever reason)
2. From X11 terminal type in “sudo nvgui”
3. Upgrading to NetVault 8.2.1 and above will resolve this issue.
