How to increase Virtual Library capacity in 7.4x

Symptoms:

1. From a DOS prompt go to ....\netvault\util run nvmakemedia.The example below assumes a 4 gig file size
./nvmakemeida 4g mediafiles D:\library\media\BINGO011
You do need to input the actual path to the existing library's media directory. BINGO011 above is the tape name...you would type in what ever your tapes are named with a sequentially higher number.

2. In the slots folder (found one level below the virtual library folder) create a new folder and name it accordingly. In the example above it would be named 11.

3. From one of the existing slots copy the .media file in to the newly created folder. Edit the file with a text editor and change the slot number (to 11 in this example).

4.Go in to Netvault's Device Management, right click on the library arm and select open door, then door closed.... you should now see the additional tape.
