Description: Backups of clients failing with Network disconnections
Symptoms: Machine 'XXXXXX' has gone down
On the Netvault Server and ALL NetVault Client, open the Configurator > Network Manager tab:
- Increase the 'Time to wait before dropping inactive connections' to 600
- Decrease the 'Keep Alive rate' to 7.
-Time to complete a remote connection to 60
On the Netvault server only go to the Job Manager tab:
- If the 'Keep Alive rate' is not 5, increase it to 5.
Restart the Netvault service on all machines.
By increasing these timeouts it tells Netvault to wait a period of time for the communication between the server and the clients across the Network to re-establish themselves. Then proceed with the data transfer for the backups.
