Description:
After creating the VaultDR image (VaultDR Online Windows, VaultDR Online Linux, VaultDR for Intel x86, VaultDR for SPARC) without any problems, the restore may fail.
Symptoms:
Binary log may contain 2 errors:
Cannot gain network access to client
Fatal error: Failed to start plugin
Reason:
It is necessary to route a restore of this type through the NetVault Server to utilize its locally installed VaultDR Server Plugin components.
When creating the restore job, navigate to the Target Client tab. In the window that appears, select the NetVault Server from the list of displayed machines as the intended target. This setting will work in tandem with the Restore Name option set in the Restore Options tab to route the restore properly. This will restore all data to the machine named in the Restore Name field, not to the NetVault Server.
