Description:
NVGUI on Mac OSX 10.5.4/10.5.5 does not function as expected
Symptoms:
Selecting the NVGUI icon on 10.5.4/10.5.5 fails to launch X11 correctly and you will get an error stating that X11 must be running first. However, launching X11 first does not always resolve the issue. Apple has made changes in 10.5.4/10.5.5 that do not allow X11 applications to launch correctly.
Launch X11.app Choose "Preferences..." from the "X11" menu, go to the "Security" tab and check "Allow connections from network clients". Quit and relaunch X11.app. NVConfigurator.app now works as expected.
