Description:
Duplicate jobs intermittently fail with "waiting for media".
In this case there was only one physical tape library with 2 drives.
Duplicate jobs were scheduled to run immediately. Additionally , the duplicate target selection set was not targeting a specific drive. More than likely, the second drive was already being used by another job causing the duplicate phase to wait (waiting for media) for a valid drive / media combination.
Edit the duplicate target set to identify a specific drive. It's also a good idea to select job retry settings in the schedule selection set.
