Netvault not recognizing The Barcodes on Tapes
Symptoms:
Barcodes on media being displayed correctly on the Library Interface, but are not displaying in NetVault at all. -
Resolution
In this case, the customer had to turn off Verify Barcode Checksums in order to have the tape library read the Barcodes, even though they displayed in the Interface, giving the impression that they were being read. Once that was tuned off, the library read the barcodes, then Netvault was able to display them as well... now that the Library's Barcode Reader was reading them. -
