Description: Machine ID keeps Changing Periodically
Symptoms: In this case the customers Machine ID kept changing back and forth, between two machine ID's.
The resolution for this instance:
A Disaster Recovery Machine with a client install of NetVault was used with the same name as the previous machine name, because the original machine had crashed. After the original machine was re-built, the client install was not removed or changed, so whenever it was started both clients would reply to the backup server with the same name. This resulted in the toggling between the different Machines/IP Addresses, causing the Machine ID to change. Once the Disaster Recovery Machine was renamed, the problem was resolved.
