Backup attempt with vRanger fails with the following error message: “Error In Backup Operations! Error: An error occurred during backup operations. The Archive Created Appears to be Invalid! Read Size: 2246311936, Calced Size: 378880” Also, the following error message appears in the logs: "Remote write failed: Connection reset by peer."
The client was backing up to an external USB drive so that the backups could be taken off site for disaster recovery purposes. These drives are often formatted by default with FAT32 and there is a file size limit of 4GB with this file system. Reformatting the external USB with NTFS potentially could resolve the issue.
