It appears that vRanger replications are performing at a slower speed than expected.
A possible cause of this slowness could be due to a slow network. The following test will confirm this.
This test can be done from host to host for COS replication.
For ESXi replication, please SCP the vmdk file in the following order: 1. Source Host - Source VA, 2. Source VA - Target VA, 3. Target VA - Target Host
1. Login to Vi client where the source VM resides.
2. Right click on the VM and choose take snapshot.
3. Deselect the box to snapshot the VMs memory and then type a name for the test snapshot.
4. Now open up a putty session to your source esx host where the source VM resides.
5. Login as root or login as a user and then type su - and enter the root password.
6. Next cd to this VMs directory.
7. Once your are in the VMs directory type
scp vmname-flat.vmdk root@ip address of destination esx host:/vmfs/volumes/datastorename
