Description: This document discusses a change made in global notifications from version 7.1.x to 7.4.x which may result in many more emails and/or sysop messages regarding "no suitable media".
Symptoms:
Lots of unnecessary "No suitable media" emails and/or sysop messages telling you that there is no suitable media, however the jobs referred to run fine.
There was a change to the Global Notifications from 7.1.2 to 7.4.x regarding "No suitable media". It is a bit enthusiastic and sends out an email even if the media request is satisfied seconds later.
The easiest thing to do is to revert the change made by the upgrade. To do this:
1. Run the Netvault GUI
2. Select Administration from the top menu
3. Select Global Notification from the drop-down menu
4. Double click on the word "Media".
5. Double click the "No suitable media" (it will have a blue circle around the exclamation mark).
6. De-select "Sysop E-mail" and "Sysop Operator message"
