Description

vRanger virtual appliance based replication is failing with Error Message:
“Error: -1 - mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/tmp/vix/.....................': Read-only file system”
Cause

There is an issue with the vRanger va disk subsystem.
Possible case: A previous interruption to the vRanger va’s communication to one of its own disks. For example the physical storage going temporally offline.
Resolution

Reboot the virtual appliance.
