Smartdisk not deduplicating, chunkstored trace growing a little, storageservice trace growing qui (4046637)

A deduplication backlog is growing, the dedupe window is open, GC is not running but smartdisk stats output shows;

Deduplication Available = FALSE
 

On checking the chunkstored trace the following errors are being reported;

0 FILESYS ??? -1071 104358984181 Failed to open lock file '\\?\T:\Store\dedupe\lock'
0 CSD ??? -753 104358984181 Error locking lock file! (Is another chunkstored running?)
 

And storageservice trace is showing;

0 LIBSWITC ??? -2088 154147952737 GCBlock error from CSD: subsystem not initialised
 

A previous execution of SmartDisk did not shutdown cleanly and some processes have been left behind. These processes are holding on to objects that the new instance of SmartDisk want's to use.

Shutdown smartdisk and check for any smartdisk processes that remain running. If smartdisk is the only application on the node, per recommendations, then it might be easier to reboot the node.
