Description:
Lotus Domino backup jobs generate "Server is not currently logged" warnings.
Symptoms:
Lotus Domino backup jobs generate "Server is not currently logged" and "Some Db(s) are not logged" warnings.
Cause of problem:
Transaction Logging is not enabled for the Domino Server. In addition, NetVault reports errors for Domino databases/templates which are not capable of being transaction logged.
Enable Transaction Logging.
Transaction Logging is not essential to perform full backups of Domino, but it must be enabled to perform incremental backups.
If "Archive" style transaction logging is enabled, incremental backups MUST be performed in order for the transaction log files to be cycled.
NetVault's Lotus Domino APM will be enhanced in the future to ignore unnecessary errors and warnings.
