Error "Failed to create snapshot of VM" when Netvault is set in French (4046546)

Symptom

When mounting a vmware virtual machine in order to create a file level backup a pop up message is displayed: "Echec de la creation d'un snapshot du VM"

The following appears in trace:

1 VMWVIM :3400 189 0 162042 Attempting to snapshot VM
0 VMWVIM :3400 195 0 162042 Failed to create snapshot of VM: 400
0 VMWBROWS:3400 90 0 162042 Failed mount: 'Echec de la création d'un snapshot du VM'

Solution/Workaround:

The problem seem to be caused by the language set for Netvault. This should not be the case. We therefore opened the jira VMW-231 for it.
To workaround this issue , simply change the language to English. Open the Netvault Configurator - go to the General tab and change the language selection to English.
