Description:
One or more backups do not run due to unavailable media.
Symptoms:
One or more backups will have a status of "Running: Waiting for Media". Upon selecting "Diagnose Media Request", some of the tapes will be in state "Media needs to be recovered"
Reason:
This usually results from a job failure which has left the tape in an inconsistent state. On rare occasions, this could be an indication of database corruption. If the solution below does not rectify the situation, or if the situation reoccurs, contact BakBone customer support.
Perform a "scan" on the media from the Device Management or the Media Management screen. If scanning the tape doesn't fix the problem you may need to restart the NetVault services to clear the flag.
