Description:
In certain circumstances, it can be necessary to uninstall OFM and its driver
Make sure that you have removed the OFM plugin in nvconfigurator -> Packages.
Afterwards, go to "My Computer -> Manage". Use the "Device Manager" to view hidden devices ("View" -> "Show hidden devices"), open up the list of non plug and play device drivers, and uninstall the "Open File Manager - Driver". After rebooting, double check the Non–Plug and Play Drivers to verify that the Open File Manager Driver is indeed gone.
Registry keys you might need to remove manually are:
OFM 9.0 Registry Keys
(HKLM = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE):
- HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OFMDriver
- HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OFMFsDrv
- HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OFMLvDrv
- HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OpenFileManager
- HKLM\SOFTWARE\St. Bernard Software
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ OFMNetScan.NetResource
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ OFMNetScan.NetScan
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ OFMWINX.OFMWinXCtrl.1
The OFM driver file is in system32\drivers and called Ofmlvdrv.sys.
