Scheduler lost BakBone Time (4046502)

Logs displaying the wrong date/time.
Failures in obtaining the date/time.
The message "Scheduler lost BakBone Time" in NetVault logs.

One cause of these symptoms is a lack of shared memory. Shared Memory is used to pass the date/time between processes.

Review the value of the parameter "Shared Memory (Kb) Used for Process Table entry".
The defaults for this are;
Windows: 2000
Linux / Unix / FreeBSD: 512
 

BakBone Support recommend a minimum of 16000k i.e. 16MB for this parameter. Should this parameter be adjusted a restart of the services is required.
