Incremental or differential Backup of a Virtual Machine replica showing 0 bytes
This is due to the backup happening in between Replications. For example:
Full Replication is run (Creates Replica VM on Destination)
Backup is done on same Replica VM (Full backup is taken)
Next day ( or interval ) Incremental backup is done on same Replica VM ( differential Replication has not yet run for that VM)
Backup shows 0 bytes backed up
Replication and backup times are not in sync meaning that the backup interval and the replication interval may have lapses where the backup will run before the next replication, thus not updating the archive bit/snapshot file on the Replica VM.
To avoid the confusion, backup the source VM instead of the Replicas or (if possible) schedule the backups of the replicas following the replications if time permits.
