A virtual machine (VM) vRanger 5.2 backup job, using hot add, fails.
Open VC client and go2 vRanger 5.2 VM.
Open "Edit virtual machine settings" and determine if there is an "EXTRA" disk attached to the vRanger 5.2 VM.
Highlight the 'EXTRA" disk and view the "Disk File Location" field to validate the disk is a "LINKED" disk attached to the vRanger 5.2 VM.
It the extra disk is linked, you must shutdown the vRanger 5.2 VM. Then, remove the linked "EXTRA" disk and then restart the vRanger 5.2 VM.
Validate you jobs work. Additionally, it may be necessary to delete the failed VM from the My Repository View and then re-run the job to ensure there was no corruption due to the failed hot add job.
