Ranger 3.x.x - Unable to Launch the File Transfer Daemon ProcessRanger 3.x.x - Unable to Launch t (4046080)

Backup fails with the following error:
Error In Backup Operations! Error: An error occurred during backup operations. Unable to Launch the File Transfer Daemon Process Unable to communicate with the File Transfer Process.

Too many vmware-x.logs exist on VM's datastore

There is a previous Ranger backup job spawned File Transfer Daemon process running on the server which should be killed.

• Kill any existing vRanger started FT Daemon processes on the backup client server.
• Check to see if there are a large number [ > 10 ] of vmware-x.log log files in the VM's VMFS datastore container directory [ /vmfs/volumes/<datastore friendly name>/<vm name>/ vmware-x.log ]; All vmware-x.log files other than the actively written vmware.log can be deleted using VIC Datastore Browser.
• If you do not see too many vmware-x.log files, please open the registry on the backup server.
  If the following key does not exist, it should be created as follows:
  HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\MaxUserPort
  REG_DWORD MaxUserPort
  Make this a Decimal value of 65534
