Description: How to restore a file or files to your Desktop on MAC, Windows and Linux
In order to restore files to your desktop on either MAC or Linux, you will need to know the path to that location. You can use the 'Rename' function in the Restore module to accomplish this.
Here is a brief outline of how to do this.
1. In the Netvault GUI, open the restore screen and browse to the particular save set you wish to restore files from.
2. Once you have checked the file or directory you need, right click on it and choose rename.
3. Type in the path for your Desktop here.
Below are examples of path locations to each respective OS Desktop. NOTE: Locations may change in future OS releases, so consult your Operating Systems documentation for further details.
MAC = /Desktop
Linux = /root/Desktop
Windows = C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop
