Description:
Can svtl drives be shared by an NDMP attached filer in the same way as a shared physical device
Solution:
This is unfortunately not possible. As there is no Netvault software installed on the Filer it cannot recognize the svtl drives as emulating tapes drives and would see it simply as a disk. Only Physical locally attached tape drives can be shared between Smart clients and filers. -
