Description. How to configure the Netware Thin Client Plug-in for use in a MAC OS NetVault Server environment.
Current NetVault Server software for MAC OS does not have the ability to utilize the Netware Thin Client Plug-in. But, there is a configuration option to allow you to utilize this functionality within this type of environment.
Pre-requisites;
In your environment, you will need at least one of the following clients, a Linux, UNIX or Windows machine with the NetVault Client software installed on this particular machine.
A). Download the Netware Thin Client Plug-in for this Client from our website. Save this file to the NetVault Server.
B). Next install the Thin Client Plug-in on this client. This can be done directly on the machine by copying this installation file over to the client and running the install there. Alternatively, with the file saved to the NetVault Server, you can install the plug-in using the NetVault Servers Client Management screen in the NetVault GUI. To accomplish this right click on this client in the NetVault Client Management screen and choose install software. Browse to the location of the plug-in and complete the install.
C). Once the installation is completed, open the NetVault Backup Screen and double click to open this client up so that you see all the clients plug-in. You should now see the Thin Client Plug-in. To configure the plug-in, reference our Netware Thin Client Plug-in users guide.
Summary; Once the plug-in has been configured, the backups of the Netware machines can be created using this Client as the agent for the plug-in.
