Backup attempts to CIFS repositories on shares hosted on Buffalo LinkStation or similar NAS devices fail with the following error message: (Connection timed out)(at cifs_mkdir:400)
Many NAS devices have a web based configuration utility. Connect to the NAS with this utility and configure the permissions to allow read/write or full access permissions to the share. This will allow vRanger to browse the folder structure and create the folders necessary to store the backup archives.
