Error: 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error when performing a restore
Description

Seeing 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error when performing a restore. Also seeing vzwinio.exe crash information in the event viewer when performing a File Level Restore.
When using a Iomega StorCenter ix NAS as the repository target and getting successful backups. Once the backups complete and you use the Copy Job utility to move the vRanger save points to another device such as an external USB drive. After successfully moving the vRanger save points to another location and trying to perform a full restore and see the following error 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' and seeing vzwinio.exe crash information in the event viewer.
Resolution

To move the vRanger save points do not use the Iomega StorCenter Copy Job utility and just copy the vRanger save points via windows from the StorCenter to the secondary storage.
