Description: When installing or if completely re-installing NetVault and you get error, “The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel”
Symptoms: N/A -
Resolution
The error “The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel” is not a NetVault error but a Windows installer error. To get rid of this error you must uninstall and re-install the Windows Installer. The failed installation of NetVault would have added files to your system so you may also have to remove them any NetVault instances and information from the client. Removing the registry entry for the Windows installer and NetVault under HKEY_LocalMachine. This should only be done by qualified personal.
