Description:
Jobs fails writing to Win 2008 Server attached fiber attached tape device with move media errors and 'command failed re-initializing driver' errors.

Symptoms:
NDMP backup job fails with errors similar to the following:

If the device is Fibre attached using a Qlogic card, check the server eventlog for error messages like this:

warning ql2300 Reset to device,\Device\RaidPort0

This is a known issue with Qlogic HBA cards on Win2008 or Win 7. Contact Qlogic or yor hardware vendor for further assistance regarding this.
