Description:
This is a very general error, complaining that the channel between the drive and the client has been lost. Often this is just a consequence of an earlier error in the logs, and not the real problem.
Symptoms:
Error 2006/07/25 16:26:33 38 Media NetVault NetVault Drive1:1: had channel error -
Resolution
If there are any errors within a few seconds prior to the channel error, the first error is most likely to be the most helpful in troubleshooting the problem. Any errors that have an ! in the middle of the red dot on the left, contain additional information about the error. Double click on the red dot to view this information. Try searching our Knowledgebase for the errors you find in these places. -
