Description:
Error: "Failed to spawn new process" when launching NetVault GUI.
Symptoms:
Receive the error: "Failed to spawn new process" when launching the NetVault GUI.
Cause:
NetVault is not configured correctly, with regards to the server whose information the GUI should display.
1. Edit the file '~/netvault/config/gui.cfg'.
2. At the bottom of that file is the stanza "[Server]". Ensure that the correct NetVault name is entered for the server, and that there is no white-space after the equal ('=') sign.
Example: server=nvserver
