Description:
Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Plugin configuration hangs when setting the security policies for the domain-level user account.
Symptoms:
In the 'Local Security Policy' Administrative Tool, when selecting the user to add the security policy to, clicking on the 'Check Names' button will cause the tool to hang.
Reason:
'Check Names' button should only be clicked when the system you are configuring the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Plugin on is a domain controller. Clicking this button on a non-domain controller will cause the tool to hang.
If the system you are configuring the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Plugin on is not a domain controller, you do not need to, and should not, click the Check Names button.
